Act 1, Scene 1, Brabantio

"O TREASON OF THE BLOOD! FATHERS, FROM HENCE TRUST NOT YOUR DAUGHTERS' MINDS BY WHAT YOU SEE THEM ACT." (p.19)

Brabantio is hurt that his daughter, Desdomona, has betrayed his trust. The quote shows us a power stuggle between father and daughter. The Dad still wants to make decisions for his daughter and wants to be in control of her life.

Treason of the blood= betrayl of her father/family

What does Brabantio want to do with Othello if he could?

What could have Desdamona done differently to not make her father feel betrayed but still end up marrying Othello?
